APTIKNAS Again Takes Part in the Success of Taiwan Expo 2024 at JCC

The grand event Taiwan Expo 2024 was held again by the Taiwan International Trade Administration (TITA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) at the Assembly Hall Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), on Thursday (16/5). This grand event, which aims to strengthen industrial cooperation between Indonesia and Taiwan, will last for three days until next Saturday (18/5), and visitors to the exhibition are not charged an entrance ticket.

Representative Ambassador of the Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO) Indonesia, John C. Chen was also present directly at this activity. In his speech, John C. Chen said he was happy to be able to hold this exhibition again after being absent for several years due to the Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world, including Indonesia.

“At Taiwan Expo 2024, we can witness various innovations from 130 leading companies from Taiwan. This implementation brings new enthusiasm because it includes Smart Manufacturing, Smart Medical, Green & Sustainable, Halal, and also Smart Lifestyle,” Chen said.

Chairman of TAITRA, James C.F. Huang took a photo with the General Chair of the Indonesian IoT Association, Teguh Prasetya and the General Chair of APTIKNAS, Soegiharto Santoso along with other APTIKNAS administrators.

Meanwhile, Chairman of TAITRA, James C.F. Huang, who was also asked to deliver a speech, explained that Taiwan Expo 2024 would showcase high-quality, innovative products. According to him, this activity aims to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Taiwan in the industrial sector.

“We created Taiwan Expo 2024 as a platform for Taiwan and Indonesia to strengthen relations, create social opportunities and increase industrial cooperation,” he said.

On the same occasion, the General Chair of APTIKNAS, Soegiharto Santoso as a long-time partner of the Taiwan Expo event, expressed his full support for the implementation of Taiwan Expo activities by encouraging the APTIKNAS management to be actively involved in making this event a success.

“We have collaborated with TAITRA for a long time. And Mr. Andi Mulja Tanudiredja as Deputy General Chair of APTIKNAS for International Relations participated a lot in establishing this collaboration,” said Hoky, the nickname entrepreneur and lawyer of the IT who is now trusted to be the Secretary General of PERATIN (Indonesian Information Technology Advocates Association).

Still according to Hoky, at Taiwan Expo 2024 visitors will not only have the opportunity to learn more about technology, products and innovative solutions from Taiwan, as well as participate in forums and seminars, but also be involved in one-on-one business meetings to find out more job opportunities. At the opening ceremony of Taiwan Expo 2024, members of the DPR from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) faction Mardani Ali Sera, Deputy General Chairperson of APINDO Franky Sibarani, President Director of MNC Corporation Hary Tanoesoedibjo, Director of the TETO Economic Division Frank Lu, Wellconic Founder Richard Chen and General Chairperson were also present GAPMMI Adhi S. Also present were members of the APTIKNAS management, including Andri Sugondo as Treasurer, Andi Mulja Tanudiredja as Deputy Head for International Relations, Tritan Saputra as Deputy Head for Smart City & Industry 4.0, Hendri Andrigo as Chairman of DPD APTIKNAS DKI Jakarta and other invited guests.

Apart from displaying innovative and high-quality products, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion also held the Discover Taiwan Excellence with Afgan event. This event featured popular singer Afgan, and attracted many fans who joined Afgan, to experience premium products from Taiwan. The atmosphere was very lively and was the highlight of the first day of the Taiwan Expo.

This year, Taiwan Excellence showcases products from various industries, including lifestyle, sports & health, gaming, smart city, and automotive parts. Brands such as VICTOR, MSI, Innergie from DELTA, AVer, and AROMASE were among the many on display.

Many of the products on site attracted great attention from visitors, who enthusiastically participated in the hands-on experience. The products displayed include a collection of leading gaming product brands from Taiwan such as MSI, Predator from ACER, and AORUS from GIGABYTE.

Visitors were excited to explore the immersive audiovisual effects of gaming, and were surprised by the immersive 3D gaming experience offered by the Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs™ Edition Gaming Laptop.

The activities carried out by Taiwan Excellence this time are quite diverse. On May 17, Taiwan Excellence will focus on trends in AI and edge computing, and will showcase practical applications in smart buildings, smart retail, smart transportation, and AIoT Smart Living.

The event will be attended by TPIsoftware, IBASE Technology, CHIMEI Motor Electronics, and VISION Automobile Electronics who will present the professional smart city industry. The aim is to provide AI technology solutions that match market trends, with the hope of providing mutual benefits to urban development in Taiwan and Indonesia, as well as promoting bilateral cooperation and exchanges in smart city initiatives.

Taiwan Excellence continues to promote high-quality products from Taiwan globally. Apart from the Taiwan Excellence Happy Run which will be held at GBK Stadium Jakarta in September, Taiwan Excellence will also focus more on the theme “Green Sustainability”.

This year, Taiwan Excellence will hold the inaugural “Go Green with Taiwan” and “Taiwan Excellence Sustainable Month,” which globally demonstrate Taiwan’s commitment to the global environmental sustainability ecosystem.
