The landscaping in the park creatively integrates natural rock outcrops with thickets of trees, massive bamboos, with grassy expanse and flowerbeds and the monuments within its limits, regulated by the Horticulture Department of the Government of Karnataka. Tourists will not find any problem in reaching Mysore zoo because of its ideal location. Entry fee for Mysore zoo is Rs.120 per person for adults and Rs.60 per person for children between the age group of 5 to 12 years. There is a minimal entry fees for entering the zoo. During summer season, most of the animals and birds stay hidden due to heat, hence it is advisable to visit either before 10.30 AM or after 3 PM in summers.
