After the huge success in Tangerang in August 2024, now it is the turn of Mangga Dua Square, Jakarta to host Indonesia Game Experience (IGX) 2024 for 4 days from 13-16 September 2024.
This largest gaming event in Indonesia is a permanent agenda of the National ICT Entrepreneurs Association (APTIKNAS) through the APTIKNAS Regional Leadership Council of Jakarta Province.
During the IGX 2024 Press Conference at Mangga Dua Square on Friday, (13/9/2024), the General Chairperson of DPP APTIKNAS, Ir. Soegiharto Santoso, SH said that the implementation of IGX has become the largest gaming event in Indonesia.
“With a major rebranding, IGX 2024 is no longer just a local event, but has also risen to a national level in several major cities in Indonesia,” said Hoky, his nickname, who also serves as Secretary General of the Indonesian Information Technology Advocates Association (PERATIN), Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Press Union (SPRI), and Chairperson of the Indonesian Press LSP Steering Committee.
Hoky added that the implementation of IGX 2024 is not only intended for gamers, but also for fans of pop culture, animation, and the IT industry.
“This activity is ready to provide an exciting and unforgettable experience for participants and visitors with various game tournaments, pop culture activities, educational seminars, and community gatherings. So gaming lovers must attend,” he added.
Meanwhile, APTIKNAS Secretary General Fanky Christian said that the Indonesian gaming ecosystem must be supported and developed continuously.
Because according to him, through this activity will involve game developers and studios, publishers, e-sports, gamer communities, platforms and distribution, training and coaching, technology providers, payment systems, and of course events and conferences as well as media and influencers.
“APTIKNAS has members who produce gamer human resources, up to certification. This all supports Digital Talent activities at APTIKNAS SMART NATION,” said Fanky.
On the same occasion, TAITRA Jakarta Director, Amy Hsiao also gave her support for this event. According to her, Taiwan as a leader in the technology industry, especially gaming devices, will continue to support the growth of e-sports in Indonesia.

During IGX 2024, there are seven highly anticipated game tournaments, namely: Point Blank (PC), Valorant (PC), Ayodance (PC), CS2 (PC), Free Fire (Mobile), Mobile Legends (Mobile) and Honor of Kings (Mobile)
Then there is a local game tournament, Lokapala, which will take place from Saturday, September 14 to Monday, September 16, 2024. Battle of Guardians (BOG) is also present to add to the excitement of the competition at this event.
Furthermore, there are also pop culture activities, where IGX 2024 presents various exciting events such as Kpop Noraebang MultiFandom, cosplay competitions, and coswalk competitions. This is an opportunity for pop culture lovers to express their creativity by appearing as each participant’s favorite character.
IGX also provides educational activities and workshops that will help improve skills, such as: Animation Seminar: “12 Steps of Game Animation” with Syarief Syarfuan (CEO of Spirits45 Studio) and Ossy (Animation Supervisor).
