Indonesia Game Experience (IGX) Ready to Become the Biggest Game Event in Indonesia.

Responding to the very enthusiastic market response, IT company Digiltalife, which is part of the National Information and Communication Technology Entrepreneurs Association (APTIKNAS), surprisingly announced that it has upgraded the status of the annual Jakarta Game Expo (JGX) event to a national event with a new brand called Indonesia Game Experience (IGX) 2024.

The transformation of this local event to a national level is not just a rebranding, but also marks a massive expansion of this event to various big cities in Indonesia which is ready to become the biggest game event in Indonesia.

This was conveyed by the General Chairperson of DPP APTIKNAS Ir. Soegiharto Santoso, SH when delivering his remarks at the Press Conference for the launch of Indonesia Game Experience (IGX) 2024 at Tangcity Mall, Tangerang City, Banten, Friday (02/08/2024).

The success of the implementation of JGX for two consecutive years, said Soegiharto, is a continuation of the success of the implementation of the Jakarta Game Show which has been held since 2011 to 2013 by the event organizer Digitalife under the leadership of Hendri Andrigo Sutanto who is also the Chairperson of the DPD APTIKNAS DKI Jakarta.

“After two consecutive years of receiving a positive response from the gaming community in the Jakarta area, we at DPP APTIKNAS strongly support the increase in the status of this event to a national event. Since the beginning, APTIKNAS has fully supported this activity and the achievements of Digitalife under the command of Bro Hendri Andrigo Sutanto need to be appreciated,” said Hoky, Soegiharto’s nickname, who also serves as Secretary General of DPN PERATIN (Indonesian Information Technology Advocates Association) and serves as Deputy Chairperson of DPP SPRI (Indonesian Press Association).

This transformation aims to spread the spirit and experience of gaming more widely to various major cities in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Tangerang, Surabaya, and Bandung.

This time the activity will be carried out in a series starting from 1-4 August 2024 at Tangcity Mall, Tangerang, then on 13-16 September 2024 at Mangga Dua Square, Jakarta, continued on 24-27 October 2024 at WTC Surabaya, and will be held on 21-24 November 2024 in the city of Bandung.

On the occasion of the IGX 2024 Press Conference, TAITRA Jakarta Director Amy Hsiao also expressed her support for the implementation of the IGX 2024 event.

Meanwhile, Angelika Putri, S.I.Kom as the Founder and Secretary General of the Indonesian Payment Gateway Association/ APGI stated that IGX 2024 is an extraordinary platform to connect various stakeholders in the gaming and payment gateway industry. “We hope that through this event, innovation in the field of digital payments can continue to grow and provide a positive contribution to the gaming ecosystem in Indonesia,” said Angel.

At the beginning of this activity, from the Masterdata & Digitalife company, Andi Tanudiredja together with Hendri Andrigo Sutanto explained clearly in turns about the great potential of the gaming industry in Indonesia.
