CHT INFINITY AND PINS PRESENT SMART CITY SOLUTIONS IN THE NUSANTARA CAPITAL CITY (IKN)

In an effort to revolutionize Indonesia’s infrastructure, PT CHT INFINITY INDONESIA, which is an affiliate of Chunghwa Telecom, and PT PINS INDONESIA, a subsidiary of the Telkom Group, are jointly continuing their partnership by participating in presenting Smart City solutions in Rumah Teknologi, the capital city of the archipelago, in December 2023.

The main focus of the exhibition is the Smart Pole solution or what is known as intelligent public street lighting (PJU) poles. This light pole is equipped with various kinds of sensors and technology based on artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence), one of which is an intelligent surveillance camera, which makes it possible to detect various objects such as vehicles and faces, LED lights that can be controlled remotely, and also integrated electric vehicle charging (EV Charger). Apart from that, there was also a demonstration of CityOS, namely the CHT platform which is an Internet of Things (IoT) system, allowing data collected via Smart Pole to be managed and presented in one centralized dashboard. Thus, the information displayed is not only real-time, but also precise and accurate. This is especially useful for increasing the efficiency of traffic monitoring, optimizing environmental safety, and saving energy and electricity resources.

The partnership between CHT INFINITY and PINS started with the signing of the MOU agreement in March 2023, which was then continued with the holding of a Smart City Workshop supported by PT Masterdata Digital Cyberindo as marketing associate of CHT INFINITY Indonesia, where experts from Taiwan came to share various solutions -Smart City solutions that have been put into practice in Taiwan, along with demonstrations of Smart Pole and also Smart Healthcare. The two partners then collaborate to develop smart solutions that not only suit the needs of the Indonesian people, but can also be produced locally. The Smart Pole demonstration at the technology house, IKN, is concrete proof of the success of this collaboration.

The Smart City Exhibition is not only an event to showcase technological innovation, but also reflects the importance of strategic partnerships in encouraging the realization of Indonesia’s smart cities. Both partners will continue to be committed to presenting the best innovations and solutions that are environmentally friendly and able to improve people’s quality of life.
