Returning from COMPUTEX 2024 Taiwan, the APTIKNAS Delegation successfully carried out its mission

COMPUTEX 2024, The prestigious technology exhibition held in Taipei, Taiwan, witnessed the enthusiasm of 40 Indonesian ICT entrepreneurs from the National Information and Communication Technology Entrepreneurs Association (APTIKNAS) in building collaboration and embracing the future of technology. The 40 APTIKNAS delegates successfully carried out their mission and have returned to their homeland.

The visit of the APTIKNAS delegation on 4-7 June 2024 at the invitation of TAITRA Jakarta at the COMPUTEX exhibition, Taipei, was not just an ordinary business trip, but rather a strategic mission to strengthen technological relations between Indonesia and Taiwan which have existed for more than 10 years.

COMPUTEX 2024, which was opened by the President of the Republic of China (Taiwan), DR. Lai Ching-te, has now become the mecca of world technological innovation. This is where the latest hardware, software and technology trends are introduced to the world.

One of the Heads of the APTIKNAS Delegation Team, Hendri Andrigo, who was present directly at this exhibition, after returning from Taiwan, said that the COMPUTEX 2024 exhibition was a golden opportunity for Indonesian ICT entrepreneurs to witness firsthand the development of the latest technology, especially in the realm of artificial intelligence (AI), which was the highlight of the exhibition.

Hendri, who also serves as Chairman of the DPD APTIKNAS DKI Jakarta, said, He is very enthusiastic about welcoming COMPUTEX 2024. “This event has always been a very important event for the global technology industry, and this year. We hope to see more inspiring innovation and progress,” Hendri said to this media via a written message on Tuesday (18/6/2024).

According to him, the COMPUTEX exhibition in Taiwan has always been a meeting place for industry leaders, innovators and technology entrepreneurs from all over the world. The APTIKNAS delegation’s participation in COMPUTEX 2024, continued Hendri, provides an extraordinary opportunity for Indonesian ICT entrepreneurs to build international partnerships, access the latest technology, and inspire technological developments in Indonesia.

Meanwhile Andi Tanudiredja as Chair of the APTIKNAS Delegation Team said, “Indonesia, with its growing economy and wide market share, has unlimited potential for collaboration with Taiwan, one of the world’s technology giants. The APTIKNAS delegation came with a firm determination to explore opportunities for cooperation, discover the latest innovations, and deepen understanding of AI which is increasingly permeating various aspects of life,” said Andi, who serves as Deputy Head of the APTIKNAS DPP for Cooperation & Events and International Relations.

The key presentations at the COMPUTEX 2024 event were well-known industry figures such as Jensen Huang from Nvidia and Lisa Su from AMD who were in the main spotlight, with straightforward explanations of valuable insights into the future of AI.

At this activity, Fanky Christian was also present, who was also the Chair of the APTIKNAS Delegation Team, “The participation of the APTIKNAS delegation at the COMPUTEX 2024 exhibition in Taiwan was very active. APTIKNAS delegates share tasks so they can attend all seminar sessions, conferences and panel discussions, to absorb knowledge from world-class technology experts and practitioners. The keynote session by Jensen Huang and Lisa Su was excellent, because it provided a clear picture of the direction of development of AI and graphical computing.” said Fanky who serves as Secretary General of the DPP APTIKNAS.

On a separate occasion in Jakarta, the General Chairperson of APTIKNAS Ir. Soegiharto Santoso, SH, who also works as a journalist, welcomed the APTIKNAS delegation team’s report upon returning from Taiwan. According to him, the presence of the APTIKNAS delegation team at the COMPUTEX 2024 exhibition in Taiwan is a concrete step that Indonesian ICT business actors continue to follow technological developments on the international stage.

“That’s why the APTIKNAS delegation is also active in building networking and establishing business collaborations with representatives of Taiwanese companies, while opening the door for potential cooperation and investment in the ICT sector in Indonesia,” Soegiharto explained to journalists at Bencoolen Coffee Kelapa Gading, Jakarta on Tuesday (18/6/2024) when giving a press statement regarding the APTIKNAS delegation at the COMPUTEX 2024 event in Taiwan.

This visit by the APTIKNAS Delegation team to Taiwan is not just about business, but about building a strong bridge between Indonesia and Taiwan in the field of technology that has been built so far.

“With a deeper understanding of the latest technological developments and close collaboration between the two countries, it is hoped that synergies will be created that can encourage economic growth and innovation in this region. COMPUTEX 2024 is a witness to the enthusiasm of the APTIKNAS delegation in creating a brighter technological future, both for Indonesia and Taiwan,” concluded Hoky, the nickname of the Chairman of APTIKNAS who is currently trusted to hold the position of Secretary General of PERATIN (Indonesian Information Technology Advocates Association).
